Asian artwork has always fascinated me.  The deceptively simple compositions, that are impossible to emulate.  The diagonals that create tension in otherwise peaceful images.  Most importantly the deft strokes that capture essence.   I forever return to this art-form whenever I'm stuck,  lost, or overwelmed.  

Painted with sumi ink on handmade mulberry paper.  Using the five grandfather strokes.
