I stayed on Wassaw Island to help the turtles lay their eggs in the sand.  We saved the lives of thousands of babys.  When the tiny turtles leave the island and head for the ocean they spend ten years of adolescence eating and trying not to be eaten, in the free floating sargassum in the sea.
